East Zone (Bill and Edi Anderson Scholarship)
Elizabeth Lindsay
The recipient for the East Zone is Elizabeth Lindsay. During high school Elizabeth was active in the Environmental Club, the Recycling committee, National Honor Society, German Honor Society, and the Latin Honor Society. As well as playing softball all four years of high school. As well as graduating in the top two percent of her high school class. Elizabeth has been playing softball for twelve years. In the fall she plans to attend the Schreyer Honor College at Penn State University. Elizabeth’s future plans are to receive her degree in Bioengineering with her concentration being in Mechanical Engineering. After that, she plans to further her education by either going on to graduate school for Biomechanics or going on to Medical school.
North Zone
Ryen Bostick
The North Zone recipient is Ryen Bostick.  Ryen graduated in the top thirty percent of his high school’s graduating class.  Throughout high school he was a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the high school football team for two years and the baseball team for all four years.  Also, during his high school career he had the opportunity to play in the Colt League World Series for two consecutive years.  Ryen has been playing baseball for twelve years, each year he was chosen to play for all-star teams.  In the fall he plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University.  Ryen’s future plans include playing baseball at SVSU. Then after college he plans to become a physical therapist.
South Zone
Mark Marchese
The South Recipient is Mark Marchese.  Mark graduated in the top two percent of his class. Throughout high school career he was a Chamberlain Advanced Placement Scholar, a member of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honors Club), the National Honor Society, BETA, the Stan Musial College Wood Bat League, where he was the only high school student on the team.  He was also a member of his high school’s varsity baseball team, which he was the starting catcher.  Mark has been playing baseball for the last fourteen years. In the fall he plans to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.  Mark’s future plans include him continuing to play baseball while he earns his degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Mark stated that, “Where ever my future takes me, I can’t imagine baseball not being part of it.”
West Zone
Beau Chang
The recipient for the West Zone is Beau Chang.  During high school Beau was an active athlete.  He was also an active member of his school’s Leo club.  He also graduated in the top twenty-five percent of his high school class.  Beau has been playing baseball for thirteen years.  He is also a registered PONY Baseball umpire. In the fall he plans to attend Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, where he plans to major in Automotive Technologies.  Beau’s future plans, after graduating with a degree in automotive technologies, are to continue on to get his ASE, so that he may work as an automotive mechanic/technician.
